Angelika Higher Secondary School

Angelika High School was established in 1990, by Late Dr. Jyotsna Bhattacharjee, Retd. Professor and then Head of the Dept. of Philosophy, Cotton College. Her idea was to provide quality education to children belonging to all sections of people. Through the years, the school has been able to create name and fame very creditably.

We believe that in the 21st century, purposeful and quality education to the students in the plus two stage of formal education in the higher secondary class (Arts, Commerce & Science) is also very necessary. Hence, Angelika Junior College was established in the year 2003.

In 2012, both school and college were amalgamated to make one institution under the name of Angelika Higher Secondary School.

The School is situated by the side of G.S. Road, which happens to be the heart of Guwahati city. Its location is in an area which has excellent communication link to different parts of the city as well as to the other parts of the state. The city bus stop is near the school. There is also a school bus for those who want to avail bus service. The Guwahati Medical College is at a stone’s throw from the school and several Nursing homes are there very near to the institution. A computer training and internet centre and also the Punjab National Bank are situated adjacent to the school campus. It is also worth mentioning that Angelika H.S. School admits students from preparatory to Higher Secondary level. The institute has also shown uniform good results both in HSLC and HS examinations.

The institution is accommodated in two multi-storeyed buildings with high walls on all sides of the compound and a huge iron gate at the entrance ensuring the safety of the students. A canteen is in the campus for the students.
